We found the 5 best air purifiers among 24 different models…
JessicaJessica

Jessica

Jessica is a doctor of air purification and a house mother. Because she suffers from rhinitis, she took the initiative to find our website, hoping to test and review air purifiers. She has always hoped to find a purifier that can promote air circulation.

  • Jessica@wechoosebest.com
We tested 24 different air purifiers. We show you our ranking of the five best air purifiers at the bottom of this post, based on our expert opinions and consumer reviewsr

Do you often suffer from repeated attacks of influenza arinitis in autumn and winter due to cold and heat that stimulate the spread of viruses? Are you annoyed by fluff flying around your home and the smell of pets?

If you believe that the quality of the air around you is very important, you will be interested in this article.

In the past 20 years, with the development of society, viruses, bacteria, house dust mites, pets and other allergens have caused us to be almost constantly affected by the bad air environment, but there are various problems in the body without knowing it.. ..

Therefore, people pay more and more attention to air purifiers.

Most people are pleasantly surprised when they invest in a quality air purifier. Because it can improve the air environment for the whole family, remove all kinds of bacteria in the air, prevent people from inhaling them, and make the home life of parents and children better.

When I advise someone to buy a high quality air purifier, I am often asked:

“But is it really worth it?”
………
If I wanted to make more money for myself, I wouldn’t take it up in the first place. I don’t need to spend years researching air purification.

SEE THE BEST ONE FIRST

Ask yourself these 3 questions:

Are you bothered by your respiratory problems such as rhinitis?

Are you worried about affecting your family’s health due to air problems?

Are you concerned about pet/tobacco odors and don’t know how to deal with it?

Almost everyone I ask these questions ends up realizing that 90% of their problems come from not using a high quality air purifier.

But don’t get me wrong, a high price does not always equal high quality.

That’s why I’ve spent the last 6 months testing over 24 air purifiers with For Consumers to find the air purifier that gives you the best value for money in 2023.

We have assessed the air purifiers based on 8 criteria:

Filtering function

Air quality test

Air freshness

Timing function

Value for money

Noise

Appearance and volume

Additional functions (cooling and heating)

Over the past four years, many different styles of cleaners have been released to the market and innovations have completely changed the rules of the market game.

In the test, we summarized the above 8 standards that affect air purifiers. Among them, we found out from the purification function that the air purifier also has a heating and cooling fan effect.

Such products are more popular because the three-in-one feature allows consumers to experience the most cost-effective products.

Dyson pioneered this 3-in-1 type of air purifier back in 2016, but a lot has changed since then. Now we have many new options for better air purifiers at lower prices.

Hollow design can realize multi-functional use, but there are still relatively few air purifiers on the market that use a hollow design, and the hollow design has many advantages.

7 reasons to get a hollow air purifier

Can maintain a steady airflow

Thanks to the hollow design, it is now possible to install a microcomputer that monitors the temperature of the outgoing air stream. If the air gets too hot, the microcomputer automatically adjusts the temperature back to fix the air quality.

Extremely fast air purification speed

Due to the airflow multiplication technology, the hollow air purifier dryers have up to 15X higher wind speed than the traditional air purifier, resulting in an average of 6 minutes to clean 10 square meters.

Remove formaldehyde very quickly

When doors and windows are closed in cold weather, the accumulation of formaldehyde is not easy to evaporate. But now, because the hollow air dryers have so much airflow, there is a wider range of speed settings, it can quickly capture and break down formaldehyde within 0.1 second, so you can breathe fresh without waiting.

Removal Speed reaches 99.9% with more negative ions

With the combination of strong airflow and advanced anion technology, you will experience the benefits of negative ions like never before. The removal rate for allergens such as viruses and bacteria is as high as 99.9%

Cooling and heating function, universal in all seasons.

The hollow airflow can form hot air or cold air, no longer just an air purifier, adding the functions of heater or air cooler, a multi-function machine, eliminating the trouble of using multiple household appliances.

Low noise level does not disturb your surroundings

Generally speaking, air purifiers with hollow inlets have a lower noise level than ordinary air purifiers. This is because the motor inside a hollow air cleaner must always be brushless, so you have fewer “loose parts” that can make noise.

Save your money

If you were to add up how much you spent on your respiratory health over the years, it would probably be much more than the premium price of a hollow air purifier. If you can gather the investment, we are guaranteed not only to save money, but also your health.

Before doing this test, we used the Dyson HP09 in my house.

However, over the past 6 months I have discovered a new brand of hollow air purifiers that are not only better in almost every aspect, but significantly cheaper! The brand is called Purethcare and there is a review report about it at the bottom of this article.

Now, whether you feel you deserve a hollow air purifier or not, there are generally a few things you should look for and avoid when investing in a new air purifier:

What to look for

Purification Index

Some purifiers have poor projection and low cleaning efficiency,In our testing, we found that they remove gases and odors with HEPA to capture 99.97% of particles with a size of 0.3 microns.

A good air purifier can filter H1NI and other common viruses at least up to 99.9%, this is the best measure.

Intelligent temperature monitoring

If you want a clean air quality environment, look for a model with air quality monitoring. Usually, this is an advantage that only the hollow air purifiers have, as it is difficult to implement in the design of a regular air purifier.

Negative ion technology to combat pollution

I think you often hear the term negative ions because it can release millions of negative ions to actively clean dust, bacteria and smoke. It is especially important to create a habitat that cares for mothers and babies. In our tests, this is certainly the case. Cleaners with negative ions are more effective and pure in taming impurities.

Timing function

The air purification time can be adjusted according to the personal home situation, and the intelligent remote control is very practical. It can flexibly control the wind speed or turn the machine on and off periodically while you sleep.

What should be avoided

Heavy and bulky models

The volume is too large, it is inconvenient to move to other places, and it takes up space

Noisy models

The sound is too loud and affects daily life. Most air purifiers manufactured before 2016 have a sound level between 40-80db, which in the worst case corresponds to a plane taking off. Now a good air purifier is lower than 35DB.

Due to advances in motor technology, some newer models are almost half as loud, meaning you can actually avoid waking up the whole house when using air purifiers

Lack of additional functionality

In addition to the cleaning function, many cleaners now also have cooling and heating functions, which greatly reduces the need to purchase a number of household appliances.

Of course, this is also a feature that only hollow air purifiers have, as the airflow generated by the hollow technology can be used to adjust temperature sensing

Beyond the budget price

We are committed to seeking cost-effective products and try to use a lower price while enjoying a high-quality life. Of course, if you are rich, you can ignore this suggestion.

Review

In our practical test, we asked randomly selected testers about their user experience. The air purifier fan proved to be a clear favorite with their luxurious looks and useful 3 in 1 function(heater , cooler , air pure). It has reached the ultimate purification function, can filter 99.9% of common viruses such as H1N1 and remove various odors, improving air quality to the greatest extent possible.

Features: The powerful airflow can also clean the entire room with maximum range, and the quiet operation does not affect the air supply effect.

At the same time, it also has a three-in-one functionhot air, cold air, and air purification. Thanks to the hollow reality, we will not be injured by the hot wire of the hot air

Hollow Design: The hollow design makes this purifier not only clean, but also has the effect of hot air and cold air, which can clean all year round and can be used as a cooling and heating fan. The price is relatively reasonable and the three-in-one function meets daily needs.

Two Size :Another feature of this air purifier fan is that it comes in two sizes. The 18-inch machine is their best-selling machine. I think after using the vacuum cleaner, the 18-inch machine is more suitable for home use. It is relatively light and suitable for moving. Of course, a 46-inch machine is a better choice for large rooms. The 46-inch filtering capacity will be more powerful

Service Commitment: The manufacturer is obviously very confident in its product. That’s why he openly promotes his money-back guarantee. And customer service kept in touch with me throughout the entire purchase and tried their best to answer all my questions, thank you Ben.

Defect: Sometimes they sell too fast and there may be a sell-out situation.

Review

It should come as no surprise that the Dyson HP 09 is one of the models I get the most questions about.

This purifier has received a lot of attention since its groundbreaking technology was introduced in 2016.

As mentioned earlier in this article, the purification, cooling and heating functions are all complete, the airflow is good and the appearance is beautiful, but there are still some shortcomings.

For example, in our tests we found that its sound is too loud, which affects sleep, and its weight is also bulky.

Note here, I’m not saying this purifier is bad, I think the Dyson HP09 is probably one of the best air purifiers you can buy, but if you compare it to other purifiers, it’s expensive Very expensive, to same price as you can buy many household appliances with good individual functions.

For families with limited budget, it is not the best choice in terms of cost performance.

Review

Has many models of air purifiers similar to the above traditional air purifiers and there is no distinct difference. So we picked one of their newer models for comparison.

The cleaning function is basically in line with the needs of the general public, and the cleaning speed is also good. The filter is said to be able to remove nanoscale particles as small as 0.003 microns.

But we also found many obvious flaws in the test, such as B. Loud noise, the device smells strange after a while and so on.

Simple function, only cleaning function.

Review

Honeywell is an old brand in the cleaning industry. We chose the best-selling model among its many purification models for testing.

Very classic traditional cleaner, although there is no hollow design, but the shape design is still simple, the floor area is relatively small, and the noise is also low.

However, the light cannot be turned off separately, pure light pollution, only the sleep mode can turn off the light, and the sleep mode locks the gear and cannot adjust the wind speed

With an exclusive focus on the cleaning function, there is not much innovation in product design and user experience.

Because of a single function, and the price is also expensive, only after Dyson. In the current market competition, I don’t think it has any major advantage.

Review

The product is small and portable, the multi-function control is very convenient, and the cleaning function is also good. Most of them may be interested in its appearance and compactness.

There is no cooling and heating function and it cannot be used in all seasons. Due to its small size and single size, the cleaning projection area is limited.

The cleaning time is long, and there is no function to detect the air quality, it may need to be started for a long time, and the power consumption function is relatively large.

If the budget is low, you can try it if you do not have a high demand for cleaning features.
